Have you got a wheelchair accessible vehicle to sell?
For over 12 years, Wheelchair Cars has been buying and selling all types of wheelchair adapted cars and vans.
The leading mobility vehicles we buy are usually clean, low mileage vehicles with a lowered floor and a ramp. If you are unsure whether your WAV has a lowered floor, give us a call and we will advise you.
Rear passenger, upfront passenger and specialist transfer vehicles
As well as rear passenger converted vehicles, we are strong buyers of passenger upfront cars - vehicles where the wheelchair user travels next to the driver.
Rear Passenger WAVs
Standard wheelchair accessible cars where the wheelchair user travels in the rear passenger position.
Passenger Upfront WAVs
Vehicles where the wheelchair user travels next to the driver. Some do not have a lowered floor, but we still purchase many flat floor upfront WAVs.
Transfer Vehicles
Smaller transfer vehicles with remote control tailgate, power ramp and 6-way Ricon driver’s seat are a specialist area for us.
Upfront wheelchair accessible vehicles we regularly buy
These are examples of upfront passenger WAVs we are often interested in buying:
- Volkswagen Caddy converted by Sirus
- Fiat Qubo by Sirus
- Fiat Doblo by Wilson Healy
- Volkswagen Transporter by GM Coachworks or Lewis Reed
- Peugeot Partner by Brotherwood
- Citroen Berlingo by Brotherwood

Drive from wheelchair vehicles
When it comes to drive from wheelchair cars, we are more particular about what we buy.
We only buy Caddy drive from wheelchair vehicles which include the powerchair. Any Sirus drive from cars must have hand controls fitted. We do not buy cars with stage 2 adaptations.
Rear passenger wheelchair accessible vehicles we buy
We are particularly interested in clean, well-presented rear passenger WAVs from respected converters.
- VW Caddy four-seaters by Brotherwood - not 5-seaters
- VW Caddy four-seaters by Automotive Group
- VW Transporter
- VW Caravelle
- Peugeot Partner by Allied Mobility
- Ford Tourneo Connect by Allied Mobility
- Ford Tourneo Connect by Brotherwood
- Citroen Berlingo by GM Coachworks
- Kia Soul by Sirus
- Renault Kangoo petrol automatics - any conversion
- Fiat Doblo - any modification
- Any car converted by Jubilee Automotive
- Any vehicle by Brotherwood
We have a keen eye for smaller transfer vehicles
Transfer vehicles are cars with remote control access, power ramp and a 6-way Ricon driver’s seat. These are vehicles we specialise in, which can make us a stronger buyer than dealers who prefer to avoid the extra complexity.
Information we’ll ask for
To help us give you a realistic answer quickly, it is useful to have the following details ready.
We ask about value to check whether we are both on the same page. If expectations are unrealistic, we may politely decline to offer to avoid wasting your time.
Why a WAV may be worth less than expected
Occasionally, people expect to receive close to what they paid if they have only owned their WAV for a short time. We understand that nobody wants to lose money, but if a car is six months older and has an extra owner on the logbook, the resale value will usually be lower.
We don’t want to scare you off - we just prefer to be realistic from the start.
Every car we buy usually needs:
- A full valet
- 12 months MOT before resale
- Ramp checks or reconditioning
- Advertising and preparation costs
- Another service
- Collection costs, wages and transport fees
Distance is not a problem.
We have two car transporters travelling across England, Scotland and Wales daily. Try us if you are looking to sell your wheelchair accessible vehicle.
