Buying a Wheelchair-Accessible car is one of the most significant financial outlays you make, so we understand the importance of choosing the right vehicle from the right dealership. To give you extra confidence in finding the right Wheelchair-Accessible car for you, we’ve partnered with the RAC to become an RAC-approved dealer.
What does this mean?
Being an RAC-approved dealer means you’re dealing with a brand you can trust. The RAC wouldn’t partner with a dealership that didn’t share its attitude to supporting the customer by delivering the best possible experience. It means we comply with a code that is Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) approved, a not-for-profit organisation that ensures trading standards are being met.
Every vehicle sold comes with the following:
- RAC Approved Preparation Standard
All our vehicles MUST meet a vehicle preparation standard before they are sold. We are audited at least six times a year by the RAC to ensure we are consistently preparing all our vehicles to meet these standards.
- RAC Warranty
There is a three-month warranty with every eligible vehicle*. RAC Warranty is included with all makes and models of vehicles and can give you extra reassurance in the event of something happening to your vehicle. For an additional fee, you can extend the term of the warranty to up to 36 months.
- 12 months free RAC Breakdown cover**
Every vehicle includes a free 12-month RAC Breakdown Cover, which may require activation.
RAC Accident Care – Your RAC breakdown cover includes Accident Care and Motor Legal Care (for the duration of the Breakdown Cover).
- Car Data Check
Evidence the Wav vehicle you are buying isn’t stolen, written off or has any outstanding finance.
- No excess to pay
With repair facilities: To make a claim against your RAC Warranty, you can return your vehicle to us or another VAT-registered garage to diagnose the fault.
Or without repair facilities: To make a claim against your RAC Warranty, you can book your repair at a RAC Approved Garage by visiting www.rac.co.uk/warrantyclaim or at any VAT-registered garage.
*Eligibility for each level of warranty is based on the age and mileage of the vehicle at the time of purchase

RAC Maintenance and Repair Warranty is one of the leading products in the market. To suit the needs of all our customers we have 2 levels of warranty. You can also choose to extend the length of your warranty term as the older your vehicle gets, the more likely repairs are needed.

Platinum Plus
RAC Platinum Plus Maintenance and Repair Warranty is the highest level of warranty RAC offers. It includes mechanical and electrical components for failure to perform their normal function. It also includes:
- Failure due to carbon build-up/carbonisation
- A limit of £50 (including VAT), or one hour’s labour (whichever is lower), in the event of a valid repair request
- Wear & tear coverage for components that have reached the end of their everyday working lives, provided the vehicle is less than eight years and/or 80,000 miles at the point of claim.
Platinum Plus level is available for vehicles up to six years with less than 40,000 miles when purchased.
Platinum
RAC Platinum Maintenance & Repair Warranty includes mechanical & electrical components for failure to perform their normal function. Platinum level is available for vehicles up to XX years with less than XX,000 miles when purchased.
Gold
RAC Gold Maintenance & Repair Warranty includes specifically listed components for failure to perform their normal function. Gold level is available for vehicles up to XX years with less than XXX,000 miles when purchased.
Silver
RAC Silver Maintenance & Repair Warranty includes limited listed components, protecting against those parts failing to perform their normal function. Silver level is available for vehicles of any age or mileage when purchased.
Additional benefits
Every RAC Maintenance and Repair Warranty comes with the following:
- Car Hire – If your vehicle requires 8 hours or longer to carry out repair work, we will cover a maximum of £50 per day for up to 7 days upon receipt of a valid rental agreement
- Continental use – For up to 60 days per 12-month period within the European Economic Area
Please note RAC Warranty is a service contract and is not an insured product.
*Warranty does not include items claimable under the manufacturer’s warranty. Total aggregate claims value cannot exceed the purchase price of the vehicle. Other exclusions and limitations apply, which are provided in the full terms and conditions document (available upon request) and included on the schedule document.
