Buses Most local buses (First, Arriva, Stagecoach and others) are low-floor with wheelchair spaces and ramps. Reference wheelchair size limits apply (typically max ~1.2 m long × 0.7 m wide). New fleets and the upcoming Weaver Network include improved accessibility features (more wheelchair space, electric ramps). AccessBus (door-to-door) West Yorkshire’s AccessBus provides dial-a-ride, fully accessible door-to-door transport for people who cannot easily use standard buses (any age, with priority for older or disabled passengers). Operating roughly 9am–5pm, seven days a week in many areas. A new fleet of more spacious, ultra-low-emission AccessBuses is being introduced.

Rail Leeds station has full step-free access (lifts to all platforms), accessible toilets, waiting areas and 24-hour Passenger Assist. Many surrounding stations (e.g., on lines to Bradford, Harrogate, Wakefield, Ilkley and Skipton) have step-free or partial access; improvements continue under Access for All and local packages.
